Helping the Community

Windsor orchestrates bed donation
Kathy Windsor, executive vice president of National TV Sales and Rental, orchestrated a donation of 100 sets of bunk beds to Lebanon, Missouri, school children. Windsor said she was inspired to help after reading an article in the Lebanon Daily Record that reported as many as 506 elementary school children did not have beds.Learn more

APRO, relief fund recipients say thank you
Moved by the devastation of fellow rental dealers in the aftermaths of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma, rental dealers across the nation responded with a flood of relief, sending food, money, clothing, home furnishings, building supplies and more to affected areas. Learn more

Dress For Charity
Every Saturday employees can dress down for a $2.00 fee which is donated to a local charity of each stores discretion.

Operation Fresh Start
National TV Sales & Rental helps when disaster strikes by working in conjunction with the Red Cross, local churches and other community help organizations. When domestic violence, fires and natural disasters tarnish a community NTVSR is ready to help by providing furnishings, cloths and needed personal items.

Company History

  • July 1986
    We opened our first store in Lebanon, Missouri.

  • 1987
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store #1 in Clinton, Missouri. We also opened a retail store called BMD in Lebanon.

  • 1988
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store #3 in Neosho, Missouri. Moved BMD to a larger location. Purchased and consolidated Advance TV Rental in Lebanon.

  • 1989
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store #4 in Camdenton, Missouri. Closed the retail store BMD. Opened a central receiving warehouse that also was their new corporate offices.

  • 1990
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store #7 in Aurora, Missouri.

  • 1991
    Established a 100% company funded benefit plan for employees.

  • 1993
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store #8 in Noel, Missouri.

  • 1994
    In January we purchased accounts from Royal Rental in Clinton and consolidated as National TV Sales and Rental. In October, we purchased two stores from Royal Rental in Sedalia and Warrensburg. These two stores remained open as National TV Sales and Rental store #'s 9 and 10.

  • 1996
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store #11 in Buffalo, Missouri

  • 1998
    We purchased Thompson TV Rental in Marshall and Sedalia. Marshall remained open as National TV Sales and Rental. The Sedalia stores were consolidated into one store. We established a scholarship program for high school seniors. $1000 scholarships for every store location.

  • 1999
    We built a new 22,000 sq ft central receiving warehouse and Corporate offices in Lebanon. We opened up a new rent to own store, Store # 13 in Springfield, Missouri.

  • 2000
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store # 14 in Versailles, Missouri.

  • 2001
    We opened a new rent to own store, Store # 15 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. We purchased U-CAN Rent to Own and consolidated the operation in our Springfield store.

  • 2002
    We opened two new rent to own stores, Store # 16 in Ava, Missouri and Store # 17 in Carthage, Missouri.

  • 2003
    We opened Store #18 in Nevada, Missouri. Opened our first Radio Shack in conjunction with our Marshall, Missouri store.

  • 2004
    We purchased Carol Jeans Home Furnishings located in Carthage and Lamar Missouri. We consolidated the Carthage stores into one store. The Lamar store remained open as National TV Sales and Rental. We opened our second Radio Shack in Versailles. We sold the Warrensburg store to Rent-A-Center.

  • 2005
    We relocated the Lebanon store to 801 S. Jefferson. We opened up the first National's 6 to Own store in Springfield, Missouri. Corporate warehouse was destroyed by fire.

  • 2006
    The Warehouse / Corporate office destroyed by fire in April 2005 was rebuilt and in June of 2006 all Corporate functions resumed operations.
